ずっと探していた世界初のメンズ専門誌

エスクァイアUSA版の1938年創刊号

オリジナル。

本物を見るのも初めてだった。

だが雑誌としてはなかなかの値だったので

悩んでいると

隣にいたお客の紳士が

それは買っておいた方がよい。

全ページ資料価値があると

アドバイスをくれた。

聞けばバブル期だとそれは10万円で取り引き

されていたとか。

すると額装屋の主人が世界一高い雑誌

は何か聞いてきた。

もちろんわからない。

するとプレイボーイのUSA版の創刊号

だと教えてくれた。

マリリンモンローが表紙で

100万の値がつくとか。

ということでまんまとお買い上げ。

しばらくして神保町のファッション系

で有名な古本屋で

創刊号はないか聞いてみたが

あるはずないとの返答。

やはり先輩方のいう事は聞いておいた方がよい。
